Open type current transformer (also known as combined transformer, open jewels transformer, open type current transformer, current transformer, open card current transformer) is suitable for ac power system below 35 kv and 10 kv power supply current measurement and microcomputer protection device, the current transformer has small volume, light weight, easy to install, etc, which can be opened, and indoor type.

LMZK series is widely used in compact fully insulated ring network switch cabinet. It is easy and fast to be directly stuck on the connected in-out cable during installation.It has been widely used in the compact fully insulated ring-net switch cabinet and also in the combined transformer substation and cable tapping box.The OUTDOOR LMWK series is used for reactive power compensation devices and mobile substations.

Advantages: This type of current transformer selects high quality imported silicon steel with high magnetic permeability as the magnetic material, which has the characteristics of divisible iron core and small magnetic circuit loss. Its semi-circular iron core and secondary windings are vacuum-poured by high quality epoxy resin in the flame-retardant plastic shell, which is moisture-proof, stable in performance and requires no maintenance.

Disadvantages: because the core is separated so the accuracy is not possible to do too high, the general maximum accuracy is 0.5.

During installation, two half rings should be stuck on the dividing cable and held tightly with the hoop. Three elastic rubber rings should be held against the cable and the cable in one, harmonious and beautiful. Both 10KV and 35KV cables of 35mm-400mm can be used.

Where applicable: general measurement and protection in power systems with high mobility or tight space or uninterrupted power.
